A set of original background color key concepts from the Don Bluth Studios animated film The Pebble and the Penguin (1995). Featuring Hubie and Rocko being towed through the ocean by a cruise ship, the hand-painted concepts were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Uniquely, Don Bluth had his animators use concepts such as these for story development as well as visual development, which is why they are applied to a singular board in a storyboard presentation. Measuring 13.5"x16.5" overall, and with the image area measuring 10.5"x13.5", the concept are in very good condition.
